Trust

I am coming to the reality that I do not understand what it means to trust God. If I can bee transparent.
I use to believe trusting God was taking what He was doing and "figuring it out." After figuring it out then proceeding forward trusting that God would open the door and provide the way. As God continues to extend me, I am finding that trusting God is not anything that we are familiar with. Is trusting God not in "figuring it out?"
Could it be that trusting is just that trusting! Could it be that God just want people that have giving up on working out the details? Could it be that God is wanting people that are acute to His voice not every minute, but every second?
1 Thessalonians 5:17 say: "Pray constantly."
Can we then say that trusting in the triune being of God is dependent on our communion with God? I believe not only is that a fair assumption but is a vital necessity. Unless we are in constant communion with God we will never be able to trust Him in the way HE desires. He is not asking us to "get it." He is asking us to simply and innocently trust us. Jesus says in Mark 10:29: "I assure you, Whoever does not welcome, the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
are we to remain as children, no. But we are not to ever lose the innocence of faith.

God is wanting a people that simply follows Him when He speaks, even if we don't understand, but isn't that the essence of faith? Trust / faith, the two are inseparable.
